Apple Pruning Training

Clyde Valley Orchards Cooperative will be holding a training day for apple pruning on Sunday 20th March at the Kirkfieldbank Community Orchard.

Training will start with a brief tutorial on the basics of apple tree pruning before teaming up those new to the art with some more experienced folk. With over 140 trees in the orchard they have plenty of opportunity for you to get familiar with pruning your trees.

They have a supply of equipment, however if you do own secateurs or loppers feel free to bring them along. The orchard is on a slope and is mostly long grass, so wellies or boots are a must. Also dress for the weather as you will never know what to expect!

If you wish to attend please contact the group via Facebook or email – [email protected]
