New Shed Installed

Carluke Men’s Shed is proud to announce that they have taken delivery of their first new 30” x 10” Shed and it has been installed within the grounds kindly leased by Kirkstyle Baptist Church in Chapel Street, Carluke.

Members have worked hard to connect it to water and power and fit it out ready for practical activities like woodworking, crafts and model making. Members can choose how they wish to use this space for personal or group projects or to learn a new skill. It also has a social area for tea and chatting and games and the shed comes complete with kitchen and toilet facilities.

CMS have been meeting for the past year in Carluke Leisure Centre and all their planning and fundraising has resulted in the siting of their first shed where practical activities can now be accommodated. It is planned that the shed will be open for members three days a week.

The grand opening ceremony was planned for Saturday 21st March but, due to the developing coronavirus situation, the committee have decided to postpone this until later in the year.

CMS look forward to welcoming members to enjoy the new shed’s facilities when it is fully open. Stay tuned for future announcements.
