LEAP

Provides services to improve the health and wellbeing of older people in South Lanarkshire. 

The Hands On Project, which also contains a handyperson service, provides befriending services for the over 50s delivered by volunteers. This can be long and short term befriending, 1:1 befriending and some group befriending projects.

The 1:1 befriending matches are held in the client’s home on a weekly basis at a time suitable to both the client and volunteer. Referral criteria and forms can be obtained through the office. LEAP accepts appropriate referrals from individuals, family, friends, carers, public sector and other third sector organisations.
