This year's theme
Everyone has been affected by the global pandemic and the challenges this has brought for each of us. Spring and much of summer has been experienced in lockdown with restrictions on everyone.
Now we are starting to look forward to a more normal future. With that in mind, this year’s Jam and Ham Art Exhibition with will have the theme ‘Autumn and Beyond’.
We’d love it if you thought about this when creating an artwork in response to this theme.
Submit your artwork
As we are looking to create an online exhibition, we need to have a photograph of your work, (ideally before it’s framed). Here’s some guidance;
- Frame the artwork straight and flat-on towards the camera.
- Have a room with a good lighting.
- Minimise any light bounce / shadows.
If you have any issues taking this photograph, please get in touch with [email protected]
All physical pieces must be framed or presented to a normally acceptable standard and should have D-rings and cord or wire (preferably cord) attached approx. a third of the way down the back of the work. A label should be stuck to the back of each work with Title, Medium, Artist’s Name and Price.
Conditions of entry can be found here
An online application form can be found here
You can attach your photographs to the online form.
You can also download an application form (here) – print / email it to [email protected] (alongside your photographs) or hand it into Carluke Community Hub, 76 High Street Carluke.
There will be no entrance fees this year.
We hope that you are inspired by this year’s theme!
Please submit your entries by close of Saturday 19th September 2020.
