Tom and Wendy complete Kiltwalk 2021 for Carluke Men’s Shed

Congratulations to Tom Kennedy and his wife, Wendy who walked several times around Strathclyde Park in Saturday’s lovely weather for their Kiltwalk to raise funds for Carluke Men’s Shed.

They recorded 14.2 miles (37,881 steps) and Tom was presented with a certificate and a medal, which he gave to Wendy for her great effort along with an ice cream cone with a flake, and a frothy cappuccino. “She deserved it!” said Tom.

Tom would like to pass on his thanks to all the kind folks who have donated.

“These funds will really help to get Carluke Men’s Shed up and running after our long closure” and he added “anybody who still wants to donate can do so until Friday, 30th April. Just follow the link below. Onwards and upwards!””
